how to go to

Isla de la Juventud

You have two possibilities getting to the island: by airplane from Havana or with a hydrofoil from Batabanó at the Cuban southcoast.

by plane

The airline Cubana de Aviación operates three times daily betwenn Havana and Nueva Gerona. The one way price is 22 US$ and the flight takes 45 minutes.

from Havana to Nueva Gerona: 6.00, 14.50 und 20.00 Uhr
from Nueva Gerona to Havana: 7.00, 15.50 und 21.00 Uhr

The tickets can be ordered at Cubana offices:
Havana: Calle 23 esq. Infanta, Vedado
Nueva Gerona: Calle 39 esq. 18, in the groundfloor of the Hotel Cubanita

If you know day and time of your arrival, you can contact us to pick you up at the airport and bring you to your accomodation.

If you have more time you can go by ship, what will be a katamaran or an fast hydrofoil. It begins at Batabanó, a little harbor at Cuban southcoast, takes 2 or 3 hours and cost 11 US$. The ship leaves Batabanó every tuesday, thursday and saturday at 8.30 and 14.30 o clock.

From Havana to Batabanó you come with a bus (it takes 1 1/2 hours), that leaves Havana at terminal 10 in national bus station at Plaza de la Revolutión. There you can also buy the tickets for the ship.

Alternativ you can go to Batabanó with a licenced private taxi, price from Havana should not be more than 20 US$!
